Methlick School

I was tested on the school motto this evening at Methlick school. It was another great school parent Council AGM. Of course I failed, but what was lovely was that most parents didn’t. I thought that said something.

Lots of parents there as last year and lots of kids. It was the entertainment that done it. Yes, it was movie night.

The school had put together a fantastic set of movie clips of class work and activities for the parents to watch at the AGM along with the children themselves. Popcorn and juice was dished out (tasty). This was great parent and community involvement in a school. An exemplar.

Congratulations to all involved and to the Head teacher, Alison Reid and the dedicated staff. Also a mention to Libby Thomas-Wright, a retiring member of the school Council who has been a good part of the inspiration for events at the school. She leaves leaves a legacy of ‘can do’ and enthusiasm amongst parents.

This was a good night for education in Methlick.
