Councillor Paul Johnston has taken up residents concerns in Potterton over the unexpected closure of Panmure Gardens leading to confusion and anger due to the lack of notice.
“I was contacted by residents and it appears a housing developer’s contractor JKR Ltd, had sought permission to close Panmure Gardens for sewage works but has failed to put up proper notices and warn residents.” said Paul.
“The Roads service got the complaints and has instructed the contractor to put up notices. I have asked notices about diverted buses and school buses be erected as the work will carry on for two weeks to do local sewer connections. It will disrupt buses on the 291 route”
Councillor Johnston said that the Road is fully CLOSED and only for access to householders because it requires deep trenches and therefore higher safety concerns.
