Local councillor Paul Johnston has welcomed news that Links Nursery in Balmedie has taken a significant step to recovery in passing a final compliance visit from the Care Commission and having the improvement notice on Links Nursery lifted.
Improvement measures were required by the Care Commission following an inspection of the links nursery earlier this year.
” This is good news for the staff and those involved. They had a huge amount of work to do the following the comments from the inspection by the Care Commission previously. The lifting of the improvement notice is testimony to their hard work.” Said Cllr Johnston
” It is also good news for parents in the Belhelvie/Balmedie area to have the facility available at Links Nursery again. However, the Aberdeenshire education authority will also need to review the quality of provision before funding places again. I hope this can be done so that parents will have the confidence to place children at this nursery without concern at the quality of care and education.” said Paul. “The care commission decision however, does already indicate their ability to again care for our children locally”
