The news that there has been a generous donation for a replacement defibrillator in Oldmeldrum Square has been welcomed by Local Councillor Paul Johnston.
“I warmly welcome the generous donation from the family of the late Kenny MacLeod. The donation will allow the Community Council to replace the stolen defib once adjusted cctv security is in place.”
“This is a wonderfully generous donation which has come out of loss. Kenny’s family have demonstrated that they and this community have a big heart”
Paul has urged police to continue to seek the people who stole the defibrillator which he described as “utter stupidity.” This follows a more recent theft of another defibrillator from Udny Green which was recovered several miles away.
“It is important that the police have a zero tolerance approach to theft and vandalism of this life saving equipment”
